Restrictive use of relatives
Non-restrictive usage is used to supplement the antecedent. It doesn't become an adjective like the usual relatives in restrictive usage.
It is inserted immediately after the antecedent.
In unrestricted usage, whole sentences and clauses can be antecedents.
Restrictions: A guy who is Tigers fan harassed Sakamoto.
[One of the men who harassed Sakamoto is a Tigers fan (There is a possibility that other fans also harass Sakamoto.)])
Unrestricted: A guy,who is Tigers fan,harassed Sakamoto.
[There was one person who harassed Sakamoto])
In non-restrictive usage, another topic about the antecedent (A guy) is written after the comma (,).
