Arguments between Japanese and foreigners on historical issues
The Japanese are educated in self-flagellation with regard to historical awareness, andthey are one of the few countries that have not committed many acts of inhumanity to foreign nations.
The Japanese are educated in self-defeat
and are one of the few countries that do not commit many acts of inhumanity to the outside world.
However, at that time before World War II,
the Western powers had colonized most of the world except Japan, and
they were certain to invade Japan at some point.
Because the Western powers would surely invade Japan eventually,
it was necessary to expand its power by force and secure crude oil even in World War II.
The British and French in particular have been planning to colonize Japan since the end of the Edo period.
(The U.S. gave up the idea due to the Civil War and other internal political instability.)
Since there are some situations in which we argue with Koreans and Americans,
the following is a list of matters that should be refuted.
Also, some of my classmates in Japan are hiding the fact that
they are Korean residents in Japan,
so I don't know when it will become an argument.
As for the "zainichi Koreans," we are not aware of the situation.
The following is a list of things that may cause trouble
when traveling to countries with war problems.
Problems with Koreans🇰🇷
(This matter contains shocking details.)At a high frequency, both domestically and internationally,
discussions on colonial rule and the Takeshima issue are sometimes blown up
by Koreans and Koreans living in Japan.
Japan won the Russo-Japanese War,
and the annexation of Korea was done by Kojong (Gojong)
for the benefit of the imperial family
. He signed the Second Japan-Korea Agreement of 1905,
losing diplomatic rights in exchange for the preservation of the imperial family.
As for the comfort women issue,
there is no evidence of forced recruitment.
The brothels were set up to prevent venereal diseases,
and the contract with the prostitutes was on the same terms as those in Tokyo.
The period was short because it was a war zone,
and wages were high, according to a paper by a Harvard University professor.
[J. Mark Ramseyer, U.S. Harvard professor, "Sex Service Contracts in the Pacific War"]
Korea has demanded repeated apologies from Japan,
but has not apologized for the sexual assault
and massacre of civilians by Korean troops to thousands of people in the Vietnam War.
More than 5,000 mixed-race children of the victims (Lai Dai Han) remain in Vietnam as evidence.
Many of the Lai Dai Han are discriminated against in society and live in poverty.
The Japanese military was under strict orders not to touch women and girls.
The Japanese were falsely accused at the Tokyo Trials (by the U.S. and other allied nations).
Also, it is said that Japan would almost always win the Takeshima territorial issue in an international trial,
but the Korean side is reluctant to go to trial.
The Korean side is reluctant to go to trial.
In addition, 16% of Korean and North Koreans living in Japan receive welfare benefits,
and Korean schools in Japan also offer anti-Japanese education.
Anti-Japanese education is also provided in Korean schools in Japan.
Problems with Chinese🇨🇳
. Many Chinese students and workers in Japan are well brought up and have common sense.(Wealthy Chinese are basically Western oriented.)
(The wealthy Chinese are basically Western oriented.
(Chinese affluent people are basically Western oriented)
(However, historically, Japan has the most enmity with Japan,
such as Sino-Japanese War, occupation of Manchuria, Senkaku Islands issue, and so on.
Anti-Japanese sentiment is strong.
There is a strong anti-Japanese sentiment in Japan,
and we should be careful not to get caught up
in historical and territorial discussions outside of Japan.
During the Japanese invasion of Nanking in 1936,
There are photos circulating claiming the Nanjing Massacre,
but they have all been investigated as doctored images.
Major countries that fought Japan in the war
Russia (Russo-Japanese, WW2 Manchurian Northern Territories invasion) 🇷🇺, Germany (WW1) 🇩🇪, China, Korea,UK, USA, Australia🇦🇺 (WW2), Netherlands🇳🇱, Mongolia🇲🇳,
Former colonies of Japan
China (Manchuria), North Korea, South Korea, Taiwan🇹🇼,Colonized for oil, iron, and rubber
Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea
Philippines, Singapore: Promised independence by the U.S.
and originally had a high economic standard,
so there was anti-Japanese sentiment at the time.
Myanmar (Burma): liberated from the rest of the world, and therefore,
well received by the inhabitants.
Taiwan: Wealthy thanks to Japan, and well received by the population.
Taiwan: Has a certain reputation even today,
although there was a period of anti-Japanese education after the war.
Russia's Invasion of Ukraine
The reasons for the war between Russia and Ukraine are difficult to understand and are summarized here.Reasons for Russia's invasion of Ukraine
Reason 1: Expansion of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) membership:NATO forces were created for the purpose of opposing Russia.
In 2014, it deployed troops in Russia's neighboring Baltic states and Poland.
Because NATO forces would be able to invade Russia more easily
if they used military facilities in Ukraine.
(It also invaded Georgia (now Georgia) for the same reason.)
There is also anger that communism has not been recognized in Europe since WWI.
The war started when Russia asked the U.S.
and NATO for a promise not to allow Ukraine to join NATO, but was refused.
[However, after the war started, Finland and Sweden,
feeling threatened, applied for membership...]
Reason 2: Relief of Eastern Ukraine's Donbass region
War broke out in 2014 between pro-Russian and pro-UN factions.
Ukraine is the land where the Russians originally originated and we want to get it back.
Eastern (Russian-speaking) parts of the country, including the pro-Russian Donbass region,
and The western part (Ukrainian-speaking region, including the capital, Kiev),
which is pro-European and has strong anti-Russian sentiment.
Because of the fighting between the Donbass region and Ukraine, which was seeking independence,
The Russian side has a cause to support the secession of the Donbass region.
Reason 3: Presidential credibility issue
. If Russian troops were to withdraw easily, Mr. Putin would lose domestic support
. The invasion cannot be stopped without certain results.
President Zelensky is concerned about anti-Russian sentiment in Ukraine,
which has historically been oppressed by the Soviets,
in international public opinion, as it spills over into other invasions of Moldova,
Georgia, and other countries.
The move [capitulation (concession)]
that would allow some kind of recognition of the act of aggression is not possible.
Reason 4: Russia's Superiority to the Former Soviet Union (Satellite Countries).
Russia's home country tends to look down on the former Soviet Union.
Although Russia almost never actively intervenes in the international community,
Russia does not actively intervene in the international community,
but may show brutality toward the former Soviet Union (Baltic states, Bulgaria, etc.)
Russia's own country tends to look down on the former Soviet Union.
Uzbekistan is under Russian influence, and Russia holds political appointments.
The former Soviet Union countries do not like the imposition of Russian culture.
Ukraine has been Russian territory since the 1800s.
The countries of the former Soviet Union [Belarus, Armenia, Turkmenistan, the Baltic states,
Moldova, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Uzbekistan]
Currently, there is no compromise between the two countries.

R4_Status as of September 30
. Britain and the U.S. are supplying arms, but the U.S. is unable to deploy due to public opposition.
(Corona, pre-election, other war fatigue, etc.)
Germany and France are still dependent on Russia for energy,
and They have good relations with Russia and cannot blatantly support Ukraine.
They are also unable to join NATO,
which requires unanimous consent, so they will not deploy NATO troops to Ukraine.
(There is also the situation that NATO cannot protect Ukraine due to its eastern part and area)
. It is only a matter of time before Kiev is occupied
by Russian troops due to the difference in troop strength.
Even after the fall of Kiev,
it seems that civilians with arms support will continue to resist through resistance activities.
Russia, which has lost its energy exporters due to economic sanctions, exports gas and oil to China,
and It is expected that China, which has good relations with Russia, will gain a fishing advantage.
As of September 30, four southeastern provinces have been annexed by Russia,
and Ukrainian President Zelensky has applied for NATO membership.
President Putin has hinted, though not explicitly stated,
that he will use nuclear weapons depending on Ukraine's response.
